Very happy with this tripod mount ring. The Arca-type foot works perfectly with my tripod heads. The mechanism for securing the lens is solid and positive. Rotating the lens inside the ring works smoothly with the tension released. Overall very sturdy and well made.

Great value relative to the ridiculously over priced Nikon version of this item, seems to have excellent build quality and fits the lens very snugly. It has a smooth fabric material on the inside that means no marks and grips very well.The delivery time was quicker than advertised and arrived well packaged, all in all a great find for my 70-200 F4.

Very nicely made. Fits perfectly on my Nikon 70-200mm AF-S F/4 lens. I will leave this on the lens as it holds it off the table when I set the camera down down. Nice and balanced. I will not be using it as a tripod quick release, will be adding my own plate to the bottom as needed. It looks as good as the Nikon version at a reasonable price.

This is a very well made, high quality mount ring. I use it with my Nikon 300mm F/4 VR lens. It is a perfect fit and there is not one compromise I can find in its design or its construction. The price of the Nikon branded ring, in excess of 3 figures before the decimal point, is absurd. This ring is a much smarter purchase.

What is the inside diameter?

The product heading says for canon ef 100mm f/2.8l is usm macro, but then states can’t be used with canon macro lens ef 100mm f/2.8 usm?

Can someone please measure the width of the lens collar? I see the inner diameter is 69-70mm, I'm intended to use it with a different lens. Thanks.

If I could give fractional stars, I would give this tripod collar a 4.8 (see below). Since it's so close to a 5, that's what I think it deserves.The construction and engineering are flawless. The ring feels solid and well built. It fits nicely onto my Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS (Mark I) and holds it snugly. Furthermore, the base mates perfectly with my Really Right Stuff ball head. The base also has precisely machined 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes for those who don't use an Arca Swiss mount. The holes are precisely on the lens centerline. (I think it's worth noting that the RRS plate designed for the original Canon collar has only a 1/4" hole, which is offset from the center.)Some purchasers may not like the fact that the collar is black rather than white. I don't see that as a big deal, since the lens already has two black rubber rings for the focus and zoom functions. (Plus, I've covered all the white up with gaffer tape to help disguise the lense, but that's a personal choice.)

The collar is a perfect fit for the Canon variant of the Sigma 100-400 lens. Build quality is very nice. The package arrived a little earlier than expected.
