Good qualityI was surprised to find the tripod lens ring was:-Good quality.Good finishGood fit.I have not rotated the lens much in the mount but as there were reviews that a bad finish caused scoring of the lens body. I inspected the product for burrs and sharp edges before use. All was in good order. Well pleased especially as the big brands are much more expensive.

Got this for one of my Nikon lenses not because it was a must have item, the 300mm f/4E PE ED is light enough and the VR good enough to hand hold. I bought it because it gave me a tripod or monopod option that Nikon want to charge an arm and a leg for! This product fitted the bill and whilst I didn't expect much of it when ordering, upon delivery, I have been blown away with its quality and value for money.Of course only time and use will show if the initial quality lasts but as of this moment I'm a very happy purchaser and if I get a few years use from it I'll be even happier. Thank you very much iShoot I'll be looking out for other products of theirs.

The collar fits snug on the lens and does a great job providing support at a fraction of the name brand's cost.If you need one for the either lens... buy it.

it as a bit of wiggle room once closed and locked and it would be nice if it was less so but otherwise it is a solidly build product that I trust to hold my lens and my camera.

Very happy with this tripod mount ring. The Arca-type foot works perfectly with my tripod heads. The mechanism for securing the lens is solid and positive. Rotating the lens inside the ring works smoothly with the tension released. Overall very sturdy and well made.

Great value relative to the ridiculously over priced Nikon version of this item, seems to have excellent build quality and fits the lens very snugly. It has a smooth fabric material on the inside that means no marks and grips very well.The delivery time was quicker than advertised and arrived well packaged, all in all a great find for my 70-200 F4.

Very nicely made. Fits perfectly on my Nikon 70-200mm AF-S F/4 lens. I will leave this on the lens as it holds it off the table when I set the camera down down. Nice and balanced. I will not be using it as a tripod quick release, will be adding my own plate to the bottom as needed. It looks as good as the Nikon version at a reasonable price.

This is a very well made, high quality mount ring. I use it with my Nikon 300mm F/4 VR lens. It is a perfect fit and there is not one compromise I can find in its design or its construction. The price of the Nikon branded ring, in excess of 3 figures before the decimal point, is absurd. This ring is a much smarter purchase.

AMMENDED COMMENTS: I returned the Tripod Mount Ring for a full refund. Returned shipping was easy, and the seller promptly issued a full refund, no questions asked. Because of other positive comments, I decided to chance a second order. Glad I did: this one fit fine! Very pleased with the second TMR, the ease of the return process, and the quick issue of the refund. Kudos to Amazon and seller DigiKit!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was excited to receive the Tripod Mount Ring for my new Nikon RT-1 Nikkor AF-S 300mm F/4E PF. The item arrived promptly, and I was pleased with the overall construction and finish. Unfortunately I was very disappointed that the ring would not seat properly on lens: the mount ring did not completely close such that the tighting knob could not be rotated into the locked position. It appeared to have been ever so slightly too small in diameter to completely close around lens. Very disappointed to have to returned item. I'd may be willing to try another unit because of its build quality and finish and it reasonable price.

I purchased this to improve camera/lens balance for a Nikon D750 with 300 F/4E lens, mounted on a star tracker. This is a high quality, sturdy mount ring that fit my lens perfectly and is easy to remove for hand held wildlife photography. When shooting with a tripod, I now the mount ring to improve balance when mounted on a tilt head. I highly recommend this lense mount ring.

Let me simply say this - solidly built aluminum, feels like quality. Fits the Nikkor AF-S 300mm F/4E PF ED VR like a GLOVE, and is easy to remove and/or put on, but is completely solid when locked on. Simply put - buy it.This is every bit as good as the Nikon mount ring (in fact, since it's ARCA compatible, I'd say better than Nikon!) - and $133 CHEAPER. Comes from China, so you'll have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive - but that shouldn't be a concern, given this was $29 instead of $163! Well worth the wait.
